Bioclimatic indices in the context of biodiversity, Karkonosze Mts., SW Poland

Based on thermal data from period 1961-2015 at Szrenica Mt., a number of bioclimatic indices were calculated (eg. Gorczinski Continentality Index, temperature seasonality etc.). The increase oceanity of climate (decrease in amplitude of daily temperature) is noted. Climate warming noted throughout all months of the year leads to an increase of the vegetation period and, consequently, to the higher elevation of the altitudinal zones.
